{ Leo: revisited }

Leo was one of the first characters that I created
*back in July*
I thought it would be fun to see the progression of my style,
so I reworked the left side of his face only.
I'm so happy with him!

I am just about to finish the right side
and list him in my etsy shop~

I feel like I fell down the rabbit hole.
I decided two weeks ago that I was going to go ahead and apply to grad school.
I REALLY REALLY would like an assistantship,
but that meant I had to have everything in by today.

SO, I studied for the GRE for two weeks, took it yesterday,
and handed in my complete packet this afternoon.

*YIPPEE*

Keep your fingers crossed for me!

On the ART front, I have tons of new work that I am itching to post...

D, Lola, & I went to visit my family this weekend.

I think that it was just the mini vacation we needed.

I have eight new characters inked and ready to color.

I'll be posting them in my etsy shop within the next day or two.

They are all so fun...I can't wait to share them with you!

{monday}

I posted a weekly *chore* list on my bulletin board yesterday.
Today is day two...I'm hoping to keep up with it!

On another note, I have a new character coming out today.
Usually, they are posted by early afternoon,
but do to my new school schedule, this one will come out later tonight.

six months...

* This is going to be a bit of a sad post. I already have tears in my eyes....

A little over six months ago, I found out that my best pal of eight years didn't have much longer to live. Humbert was a part of my identity...For heaven's sake, I drug the 120 pound beast with me everywhere, and he never complained a bit. I was always afraid of him leaving me, and I didn't know how I would ever be able to take it...

* and that is how Unconventional Ida began*

I decided to pour my whole heart, and all of my sadness into creating each and every one of my characters. I couldn't just sit on the couch and cry...I needed to create something memorable...for such a wonderful friend.

For the first two weeks of Unconventional Ida, I was blessed enough to have him with me, under my desk and by my feet, while I worked...

He is still comes with me everyday to the post office, thanks to another lovely etsian- Off The Beaten Path. She was kind enough to make me this custom Humbert tote...
